Hey guys, I'd like to see a trade section here so people can list what they are looking for, and/or what they have. I know I have a lot of stuff, too much to bring. So if I know what some people may be looking for, that would help.

For me it is NES stuff, specifically certain boxes and manuals that I need to fill in my CIB collection. People could post lists and such. The trade tables are always great, and there is a lot of things to look at.

And as always, I will be at the next meet. Steve and all the people involved are great hosts, and for anyone who sees this and hasn't come, you need to!

I'm sure it's hard to get a hold of, but I figured I'd post it just in case somebody has it or knows somebody who has it...

I'd loooove to see the environmental version of Discs of Tron at the next SC3 event. It's just one of those cabinets that everybody should get to experience at least once in their lives. Totally understandable if nobody can track one down. So if that doesn't work, I'd love to see the big 6-player version of the X-Men arcade game. Having 6 of us all playing at once would be a total blast.

Other than that, I'd suggest a screening of "The Bishop of Battle" starring Emilio Estevez from the horror anthology film, "Nightmares". It's the classic short story in which Emilio goes up against a killer computer game and eventually gets sucked right into it! It's vector graphics galore and a real fun flick for any fan of classic arcade games.

Anybody else remember it?

I don't know if they still have it out, but Family Fun Arcade (Devonshire and Balboa Blvd in the San Fernando Valley) had one.

Also:

I unfortunately remember Bishop of Battle too.

Re: Machine requests:
Feel free to pipe up about what machines you want to see. Hell, I do it to Steve every freakin' time I see him! (he's laughing as he reads this, I know he is!)
Please keep in mind that every machine has to fit through Steve's back garage door or his front door, and that restricts what can show up. (we have some fuuunnn stories on that front; ask us about 'Subs' sometime....)

As a result: there are some machine or machine types that will probably not be seen:
Sit-down machines
Full-sized Pinballs (with deep regret from this writer...)
'Showcase' or 'Tournament'-style cabs ('ya know, those cabs that have a 6' screen, with 2 3ft long control panels? Usually have Street Fighter on 'em?)

Now, I'm under the impression that 6-player X-Men cracks in half for moving, but even then I'm not 100% sure that it'd fit through the doors. In Sept of last year, Spy Hunter fit through within f---ing --millimeters--. It's all about space, a high premium. X-men would take up about.. 3 games of space? Am I right?
We'll consider a 90's game or 2, that's not the problem, but generally big beasts can't show up too often.

HOWEVER......
If there's *one* game we'd try to move Heaven and Earth to get in the back and make an exception for, it's DOT. But I'm not sure if any of our arcade contributors have one.

Bishop of Battle? That might be a decent Cheesey B-roll video for the future. Where would we get it?

Howdy-

Is RSVP working? When I try to go into the RSVP forum, I get this error: "You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum."

Thanks,
-Jason
