I know Jason has a Discs of Tron but its the non-environmental cab. He's already bringing a Gravitar so I'll talk to him about bringing his DOT to SC3.mockery wroteCOLONI'm sure it's hard to get a hold of, but I figured I'd post it just in case somebody has it or knows somebody who has it...
I'd loooove to see the environmental version of Discs of Tron at the next SC3 event. It's just one of those cabinets that everybody should get to experience at least once in their lives. Totally understandable if nobody can track one down. So if that doesn't work, I'd love to see the big 6-player version of the X-Men arcade game. Having 6 of us all playing at once would be a total blast.
Other than that, I'd suggest a screening of "The Bishop of Battle" starring Emilio Estevez from the horror anthology film, "Nightmares". It's the classic short story in which Emilio goes up against a killer computer game and eventually gets sucked right into it! It's vector graphics galore and a real fun flick for any fan of classic arcade games.
Anybody else remember it?
Thats a possibility. I'll see what I can do.Angry Bananas wroteCOLONstreet fighter 2 arcade anyone??
GAMES!!! Lots and lots of games!!Angry Bananas wroteCOLONwhat else can we expect this meet?
Have you been to our past events?Angry Bananas wroteCOLONwhat else can we expect this meet?
Cool, I'd love to see the environmental Discs of Tron if possible. Last time I played it was at Super Bear Arcade up at Big Bear Mountain (great retro arcade in case you've never been btw... totally worth the trip up there).geoffvoigt wroteCOLONHOWEVER......
If there's *one* game we'd try to move Heaven and Earth to get in the back and make an exception for, it's DOT. But I'm not sure if any of our arcade contributors have one.
Bishop of Battle? That might be a decent Cheesey B-roll video for the future. Where would we get it?
